Citation Abstract: Language is one form of knowledge. Allah (Exalted is He) conveyed His favor in granting that knowledge to mankind by saying, “He taught him to communicate.” [Koran, The Merciful 55:4]. In fact, we can expand on this judgement and say that thought without language and communication surrounding it is like an empty vessel, since language is a mirror for thought. The relationship between them is like the relationship between substances and their forms. Although the two are different from one another that difference is merely in the mind, whereas in extramental reality substances do not exist without their forms. Similarly thought does not exist without language which expresses it. Therefore, classes on theology (aqida) face a problem in the demand of expressing metaphysical meanings in a precise manner. This problem increases when the students in the classes are not proficient on a native speaker level. this paper aims to present the topic in a theoretical framework analytical methodology.
