Citation Abstract: This study examines the role of business process reengineering in improving the performance of Libyan healthcare institutions, using a descriptive-analytical approach and a questionnaire for data collection. The findings reveal weaknesses in information technology infrastructure, organizational structures, employees’ skills, and strategic planning, alongside administrative complexity. The study concludes that applying process reengineering contributes to modernizing healthcare institutions and enhancing performance, highlighting the need for organizational restructuring, IT support, and effective strategic planning.
