Manuscript Preparation & Ethical Guidelines
The International Jordanian Journal Aryam for Humanities and Social Sciences (IJJA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing. Authors are required to comply with all ethical, editorial, and data sharing policies to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and integrity of published research.
1. Submission Declaration
Authors submitting manuscripts to IJJA must declare that:
- The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.
- It is not under consideration by any other journal.
- No conflicts of interest exist and all sources of funding are disclosed.
- All references, including URLs, are accurately provided.
2. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review by experts in the field. Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and absence of conflicts of interest. Editors make final decisions based on reviewer recommendations, ensuring fairness and academic integrity.
3. Data Sharing Policy
IJJA promotes transparency and reproducibility through open data sharing. Authors are encouraged to make research data accessible while respecting ethical, legal, and privacy constraints.
3.1 Data Availability Statement
- Openly Available Data: “The data supporting the findings of this study are openly available at [repository link].”
- Available Upon Request: “The data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.”
- Restricted Data: “Due to ethical or legal restrictions, the data cannot be shared publicly. Access may be granted upon request with proper authorization.”
- Third-Party Data: “This study uses data from [third party]. Access is subject to authorization. The corresponding author can facilitate requests.”
3.2 Data Archiving
- Data may be archived in institutional or subject-specific repositories.
- Privacy, ethical standards, and necessary permissions must be ensured.
- Data must comply with legal and institutional requirements.
4. Ethical & Publication Requirements
- Adherence to publication ethics (COPE guidelines).
- Correct authorship attribution.
- Accurate citation and referencing of sources.
- Proper formatting of tables, figures, and references.
- Originality check using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin) prior to publication.
4.1 Withdrawal Policy
Authors may withdraw manuscripts during or after peer review. In such cases, the author is responsible for the review processing fee of USD 80.
4.2 Thesis-Based Manuscripts
If the manuscript is derived from an unpublished thesis, authors must clearly indicate this in the “Comments for the Editor” field during submission, including supervisor details where applicable.
