Citation Abstract: Gadamer’s philosophical hermeneutics, also called dialogical hermeneutics, builds on predecessors such as Spinoza, Schleiermacher, Dilthey, and Heidegger. It focuses on understanding and interpreting all that is comprehensible, aiming to liberate meaning in the humanities. Unlike natural sciences, truth in human sciences emerges from direct experience and openness to the world rather than methodological procedures. Gadamer’s approach emphasizes reading texts within their historical, social, and cognitive contexts and the continuous fusion of horizons through dialogue.
Citation Keywords: Hermeneutics, Gadamer, Schleiermacher, Dilthey, fusion of horizons, hermeneutic circle, question and answer, presupposition logic.
