Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement
International Jordanian Journal Aryam for Humanities and Social Sciences is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, in full accordance with the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal ensures integrity, transparency, academic rigor, and ethical conduct throughout all stages of the editorial and publication process.
IJJA adopts a zero-tolerance policy toward unethical practices, including—but not limited to—plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, citation manipulation, inappropriate authorship, redundant publication, and all forms of academic misconduct. Turnitin or similar software is used to verify the originality of all manuscripts before and after publication.

1. General Ethical Principles
- A strict double-blind peer-review process is applied to all submissions.
- All authors must sign a Copyright Transfer / Publishing Agreement confirming originality and authorship.
- Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research or its interpretation.
- Data, methods, and analytical procedures must be described with sufficient clarity to ensure replicability.
- Previously published materials must not be used without obtaining the required written permissions.
- Any detected form of plagiarism or ethical breach will result in rejection, retraction, or legal action if necessary.
- Confidential information obtained through peer review must not be used for personal, academic, or financial advantage.
2. Reporting Standards
- Authors must provide an accurate, honest, and objective representation of their research findings.
- Manuscripts must include sufficient detail, data, and references to enable reproducibility by other researchers.
3. Originality and Plagiarism:
All submissions are routinely checked for plagiarism using authenticate. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected and the authors may be subject to further action.
All submitted manuscripts must be completely original.
- Authors must properly cite or quote the work of others.
- The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism—including self-plagiarism—in any form.
4. Multiple or Redundant Submission
- Manuscripts describing the same study or dataset must not be submitted to multiple journals simultaneously.
- Redundant, duplicate, or overlapping publications are considered serious ethical violations.
5. Authorship Criteria
- Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial scholarly contributions, including:
- Significant involvement in the conception, design, data analysis, or interpretation.
- Drafting the manuscript or performing critical revision for intellectual content.
- Final approval of the manuscript before publication.
- Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work.
- The journal does not permit honorary, guest, or gift authorship.
- Providing funding, general supervision, editing assistance, or technical support alone does not qualify for authorship.
6. Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
- AI tools do not meet authorship criteria and cannot be listed as authors.
- Any use of AI (e.g., for text drafting, data analysis, figures) must be explicitly disclosed in the Methods section.
- Authors bear full responsibility for verifying the accuracy, validity, and integrity of any content generated using AI technologies.
7. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
- Authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest, including:
- Financial support or funding
- Grants and project numbers
- Institutional affiliations
- Commercial or personal relationships that could influence the research
8. Correction of Errors
- If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly notify the Editor-in-Chief and cooperate fully to:
- Issue a correction
- Publish an erratum
- Retract the article, depending on the severity of the issue
Crossmark Policy
International Jordanian Journal Aryam for Humanities and Social Sciences is committed to maintaining the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record. This journal uses the Crossmark service to inform readers of the current status of its published content and to provide transparency regarding any updates made after publication.
Corrections
If a published article contains significant errors that affect the accuracy, integrity, or interpretation of the work, the journal will issue a Correction. The correction will be clearly linked to the original article and identified through Crossmark.
Retractions
In cases where serious ethical breaches, plagiarism, data fabrication, or other forms of academic misconduct are identified, the journal may issue a Retraction. Retracted articles will remain accessible to preserve the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as retracted.
Updates
Minor updates that do not affect the scholarly content (such as metadata corrections) may be made and recorded through Crossmark without issuing a formal correction notice.
Expression of Concern
If there is reason to question the integrity of a publication but the investigation is ongoing, the journal may issue an Expression of Concern to inform readers.
