The Role of Re-Engineering Administrative Processes in Developing the Performance of Libyan Health Institutions

Abstract: The study aimed to identify the role of re-engineering administrative processes in developing the performance of Libyan health institutions، and to identify the requirements for re-engineering administrative processes (support for senior management، organizational structure، strategic planning، information technology، effective communication، training and developing employee skills) in health institutions. Libya: In this study، the descriptive analytical method is used، and the questionnaire is used as a tool for collecting information. The study reached several results، the most important of which are: a decrease in the provision of information technology to re-engineer administrative processes in Libyan health institutions، the organizational structure needs to change to keep pace with modern administrative developments، workers do not have sufficient capacity and capabilities to use modern technology and techniques، there is a delay in administrative procedures as a result of complications And the difficulties in the administrative levels of the health institution. The health institution does not have the human، technical and financial capabilities necessary for the strategic planning process. The application of re-engineering of administrative processes contributes to the transformation of the health institution into a modern institution that keeps pace with change and development. The most important recommendations of the study are: The organizational structure must be changed to keep pace with modern administrative developments. Information technology must be provided to re-engineer administrative processes in Libyan health institutions. The health institution must have the human، technical and financial capabilities necessary for the strategic planning process.
