Abstract
After learning Arabic and studying historical texts on the history, civilization, and geography of the Levant, Alois Mosel began his journey in 1896. During his travels, he closely observed the inhabitants of the region, particularly the Bedouins and the Arab communities of the Rawla, to which Mosel was connected. His explorations were not confined to a single location; he systematically moved from one site to another, meticulously documenting each finding. He identified Arab tribes, riverbeds, and historical monuments, noting what had disappeared and what remained. This extensive research was compiled into seven volumes, written in both German and Arabic, providing critical and analytical insights valuable for scholars interested in the history, culture, and geography of the Levant.
