Abstract
The al-Hoggar region, one of the desert regions of Algeria, is rich in diverse natural resources and possesses a unique cultural heritage. To preserve and valorise this heritage, the Algerian legislator established an independent institution known as the Office of the Al-Hoggar Barn. This office was created by Decree No. 87/231 on November 3, 1987, and later ratified by Executive Decree 12/291 on July 21, 2012. The office serves as the foundational legal and administrative framework for organizing and maintaining the cultural heritage of the Al-Hoggar region.
