Abstract

Groundwater resources are among the most critical natural assets for sustaining life in desert areas, making it essential for water policymakers in these regions to understand how to manage and balance their use to support sustainable development. This study explores the factors governing the equilibrium of groundwater resources in desert zones, emphasizing the need to align resource availability with human consumption in diverse activities. Additionally, it highlights the challenges and obstacles that threaten the sustainability of these vital resources in some of the most vulnerable regions.
