Abstract
This study presents three main topics, taking into consideration the analysis of the international competition situation, which constitutes one of the major priorities of global powers in their efforts to dominate this region. One of the primary objectives of this study is to identify the geopolitical dimension of the African Sahara and to highlight the geographical and economic importance of this region, which forms the foundation of its political significance. The study also examines how major powers compete to obtain these resources, thereby revealing the strategic importance of this geographic region. The African Desert has become a focal point for international actors who seek to integrate it into regional and international conflicts in order to secure their spheres of influence, which necessitates an in-depth discussion of these realities. Furthermore, this study aims to clarify the concept of the geopolitical dimension and its various interpretations, to illustrate the nature of international conflict and its repercussions on the African Desert, and to explore the current reality of international competition as well as its future prospects concerning this region.
