Abstract: The importance of ethics and education is not limited to the individual but extends beyond it to encompass the entire society. Therefore, we find among the topics of philosophy a branch that studies and researches ethics because of its great impact on the life of the individual and society. It is a set of moral rules and principles that relate to the system of individuals and groups. This philosophy is concerned with standards of good behavior. For the individual and therefore for society, education falls under the umbrella of philosophy, as it is its practical application as it benefits from various philosophical theories in the field of educational sciences and pedagogy.
Our Islamic heritage is full of many Muslim philosophers and thinkers who were interested in the subject of ethics and education, such as Al-Kindi, Al-Farabi, Al-Ghazali, and others. Whether those of them were influenced by the Greeks or those who were not, they linked the subject of ethics and education to religion. Among them were those who tried to reconcile Greek philosophy with the Islamic religion, such as Al-Farabi in His philosophy, and some of them derived their views from Islamic law.
