Citation Abstract: The study aimed to investigate the effect of using the cooperative learning strategy on the achievement and development of reading and writing skills among third-grade students in the Arabic language subject in the Basira District Education Schools. The quasi-experimental approach was used to conduct the study, and it was applied to two classes of the Nusaybah Al-Mazniyeh Mixed Basic School, which is affiliated with the Directorate of Education in the Basira District. The study sample, which was chosen intentionally, consisted of (43) male and female students. The sample was divided into two groups: an experimental group; I studied using cooperative learning, and a control group: I studied in the usual way, and the number of students in the control group was (21) male and female students, and the number of students in the experimental group was (22) male and female students, and a note card was applied to measure my reading and writing skills in the Arabic language, after ensuring the validity of the tool. And its stability, and appropriate statistical methods were used for this. The study found that there were statistically significant differences between the averages of the performance of the two study groups on the observation card in Favor of the experimental group that was taught using cooperative learning. The study recommends the necessity of urging Arabic language teachers to adopt the method of using cooperative learning and solving Problems in teaching the Arabic language to the third grade because it is an effective method in developing reading and writing skills, raises students’ morale and increases their self-confidence, in addition to other teaching methods.
