Abstract: The study aimed to identify psychological resilience and social anxiety among children without parents in childcare homes in Amman. The study sample consisted of (72) children within the age group (12-15) years, distributed among 6 government care homes and one private care home, who were selected using this method. Intentionality, and the psychological flexibility tool, consisting of (29) items, and the social anxiety tool, consisting of (35) items, were applied to them, after ensuring their validity and reliability. The results showed that the degree of both psychological flexibility and social anxiety was moderate among children in social care homes in Oman. There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) in the degree of psychological flexibility due to the variables of gender and the loss of one or both parents, in addition to the absence of statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) in the degree of social anxiety due to the two variables. The study recommends designing a counseling program to raise the psychological flexibility of children residing in social care homes that would create an environment similar to the family environment, and developing a plan that includes a group of programs that would provide social care that reduces their feelings of social anxiety.
