Abstract: This study seeks to monitor the aesthetics of heritage buildings in Algerian desert cities, such as palaces, vertebrates, and mud houses, as a cultural pattern that reflects a succession of artistic, cultural, social, and religious experiences and values left behind by generations. It also monitors the profound transformations that these heritage buildings have undergone, whether neglected, demolished or rebuilt. Taking a number of Algerian novels concerned with the subject of desert space as models, they go beyond being texts for reading and enjoyment to discourses closer to historical and social documents, recording facts and reflecting reality, and carrying a vision and perception.
