Publication Ethics

International Jordanian journal Aryam for humanities and social sciences follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is responsible for ensuring high-quality scientific works are added to the field by enforcing a rigorous peer-review process and strict ethical policies and standards. Plagiarism, falsifying data, citation manipulation, giving the wrong author credit, and similar issues are handled with a "zero tolerance" policy. Turnitin is used to verify originality.

• Double-blind peer-review process is strictly applied.
• Copyright transfer form must be signed to acknowledge originality.
• Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
• Data and methods must be described sufficiently to allow reproducibility.
• Previously published information must have appropriate permissions.
• Plagiarism is prohibited; Turnitin checks are applied before and after publication.
• Errors in published work must be corrected or retracted as appropriate.
• Confidential information obtained through peer review or grants must not be used improperly.

Reporting Standards

Authors must present an accurate account of the work and objective discussion of its significance. Sufficient detail and references must be provided for replication.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors should ensure originality. Proper citation or quotation must be applied for others' work.

Multiple or Redundant Publication

Manuscripts describing the same research should not be submitted to multiple journals.

Authorship

Authorship must include all contributors with substantial intellectual or scientific input. Criteria include:

• Conception or design, or data analysis/interpretation.
• Drafting or revising for intellectual content.
• Approval of the final version.
• Agreement to accountability for all aspects of the work.

Authorship should not be assigned for funding, material provision, or honorary purposes.

Use of AI Tools

• AI tools do not fulfill authorship criteria.
• Disclosure of AI tool usage must be included in the Methods section.
• Researchers are fully responsible for content produced with AI tools.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

All authors should disclose financial or other conflicts of interest. Funding sources must be reported, including grant numbers if applicable.

Fundamental Errors

Authors must promptly notify the editor of significant errors and cooperate with correction or retraction as necessary.
