Abstract: In this article, we hope to approach the phonetic term by examining the phonetic changes that occur in the Arabic language, especially those related to the phenomenon of substitution, and the extent of its contribution and enrichment to the Arabic language and its impact on that. There is no doubt that language is a living being. It lives and grows with the tongues of those who speak it and is subject to what man is subject to in his upbringing and growth. It is a social phenomenon that lives within society and derives its entity from it, from its customs and traditions, and from the behaviour of its members. It also develops with the development of this society, rising to its elegance and declining with its decline.
