Abstract: The research addresses the linguistic composition methodology among Arabs in the second century of the Hijra. It specifically examines the book “Al-Khail” by Abu Ubaydah (d. 209 AH). The study compares Abu Ubaydah’s methodology in composition with that of his contemporaries, such as Al-Asma’i (d. 216 AH). The research concludes that Abu Ubaydah’s linguistic composition methodology relies on two main points: oral transmission and experimentation. It highlights the significance of the humanities among Arabs and their eagerness towards the era of scientific specialization, following a precise scientific approach.
